Being Frank is a new, English-produced documentary on the former Danish intelligence agent and whistle blower Frank Grevil, who in 2004 informed the press that there was no reliable intelligence to support the Danish government’s rationale — the presence of weapons of mass destruction — for joining the US and the UK in the invasion of Iraq. Four years later, he is going to prison for this act of civil disobedience, after having been smeared over his alcohol problems by parts of the Danish press. This promises to be a gripping film about a sadly neglected episode in Denmark’s steadfast participation in the war.

For people with access to Danish television, the film — directed by the Dane Jacob Kjær Pedersen — will premiere on DR1 tomorrow night, and should be accessible on their website after that. Watch the trailer at the official website.
