Not having seen it in person and not having seen Kemp’s Sforza manuscript put to the test, I obviously can’t say, but the drawing just doesn’t look right to me. And this is without even going into the differences in medium from any other drawing by him, the total lack of provenance, and the fact that a notorious fraud was involved in authenticating it via “fingerprints.”

Somebody pointed out how she looks like Kirsten Dunst, suggesting that it’s a fake. I’m not sure about that, but the observation catches something about the uneasiness I have about it.

I have nothing but respect for Kemp, and it *is a pretty drawing, but it just seems to me a little too good to be true.
